Pre-Arrival Registration for Taiwan residents begins on September 1 (1.9.2012)

Chinese residents of Taiwan meeting certain criteria can make use of a free-of-charge online service to apply for pre-arrival registration to visit Hong Kong commencing September 1 2012. To echo this new arrangement, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, in collaboration with major airlines and travel agents in Taiwan, started the “Hong Kong Easy Go” initiative which comprises attractive travel packages to Hong Kong. This photo shows Mr John Leung, Director of the Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office and Ms Winnie Shyu, Taiwan Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, in seeing off members of the first tour group who experienced the new arrangement and departed from the Taoyuan International Airport on September 1 morning. Mr John Leung welcomes tour group members to experience the unique glamour of Asia’s World City. Mr John Leung and Ms Winnie Shyu present gift packs to tour group members.
